Who we are

Noted is made by Point Noted AI. Point Noted AI is a trading name of HOPPERS AI LIMITED (CRO 815145), a company registered in Ireland. We are the controller of the personal data described here. Contact us at hello@pointnoted.ai.

Your notes and recordings stay on your computer

Speech is turned into text on your computer, and audio is never sent to us or anyone else. Your notes, transcripts, dictation history and documents are stored on your computer. Audio isn't kept after a note is written, unless you turn on Keep audio, which keeps each note's audio on your computer for 7 days. You can delete all of it in Settings › Privacy.

Your account

We use your email address to sign you in with one-time codes. The codes are emailed through Amazon Web Services (SES) from the EU (Frankfurt). Your account is stored in AWS Cognito in the EU (Frankfurt).

Usage and billing records

To run the service we keep, in AWS in the EU (Frankfurt): your plan and its status; counts such as how many answers you used today and how many minutes of notes were cleaned up; how many words you dictate if a friend invited you (never the words); and error reports from the app (what failed, the app version and your system). These records never contain the text of your notes, dictation or answers.

AI processing

When you use cloud cleanup, Polish, Ask, Live Answers or screen answers, the text the feature needs, or the screen capture you take, goes through our servers to our AI providers to produce the result: Groq in the United States, and Anthropic (Claude) in the United States. We don't keep what is sent, and our providers don't use it to train their models.

Payments

If you buy Pro, Stripe processes your payment. We never see your card number; we keep your plan, its status and the Stripe customer reference.

Product analytics

The app sends usage analytics to PostHog's EU cloud: app opens and the features you use, with counts and timings, linked to your account when you're signed in. Never your text, titles, names or files. You can turn it off in Settings › Privacy (Share usage analytics). When it's off, the app still asks PostHog which features are on for your account.

This website

This website sets no cookies, has no analytics and loads nothing from other companies.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. You can delete your account yourself in the app, in Settings › Account. For anything else, email hello@pointnoted.ai. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland.
